Good sparring today.. I kinda flipped a lid when I started fighting bad. Man, I am not allowed to play Madden the week of a fight ever again. My timing was off, and my rythem was jacked. If I would of fought today for UOC 12 I would of been murdered.

Hey whats up guys? So hears the deal......Nil basically screwed me over lol. Before my xbox troubles I signed up for the middleweight division to fight in the event. Well as you guys know a few days later I made a topic about how I sent my xbox in becuase it just became unbearable, and wouldnt even keep my controllers connected even though they had full battery.

In a nutshell, Nil still gave me a match, and he made it a Lightheavyweight match. So I have to run to my friend's house to get some sparring in, and finish up this Kickboxer/Judo guy. I'm going to need alot of sparring from you guys whenever it can happen.

My opponent is Cover AP, I don't know anything about this guy except he beat thelongshot, so if you guys have any knowledge about playstyle or anythign that would be greatly appreciated. Off to my friend's house.

Skarface and I decided that we should update the policy of the team a bit, and we also have a few on the team that are currently under probation untill we hear from you and know what's going on with you current situation.

On a brighter side, I finished my CAF finally! I'm hoping I can get my fight in with Buckeyes. If Not, then maybe they will let me fight Thrilhouse? I'm on all day for sparring if anyone needs some working out.

when you do things like that and give us losses that we dont deserve it isnt cool at all, we are the best team on the site for a reason and one of them is because we dont have no shows on our team, there is simply no excuse. now im not saying you are no-showing yet but it appears that way and even if you do fight you havent played for like a week so i would be suprised if you won really.

No excuses here. Since madden came out ive been slacking really. Big time. However i really wasnt around friday, saturday, or sunday, or all day today. Before that theres no excuse as to why i havent been playing. All i can say is i plan to pick up the pace.

As far as me taking an L, and getting prepared, i dont see that happening lol. I dont mean to sound big headed, or arrogant, or anything like that. But preparation for me is a matter of playing 30 back to back ranked matches. just give yourself 1 clinch grapple O doug. other than that there isnt much you can neglect with MT/BJJ. you may need to leave takedown O low if you want those styles but its not that great to not be able to take the fight where you may need it.

Hey man, unfortunately I'm not home right now, I won't be till 6PM EST, so I don't have all my normal CAF tools available to optimize your build.

MT/BJJ is a tough build to make extremely powerful, however if you are a powerful fighter, it shouldn't make a difference.

Just a few comments:

1. With 1 in TDO/D you know you'll be on the ground, especially in your division, which consists of takedown whores. The reason that I mention this is because your ground striking offense is really low, so even if you reversed the situation and were able to fight from on top, 70 vs the common 90-100 ground striking D is going to turn out quite pitiful.

2. CGO. This is a stat that is quite tricky and I think many people need a better understanding of how it fits into their own gameplan. Of course CGO helps you hold the MT clinch longer when you aren't performing an action. So of course if you are sitting there staring at your opponent, he is going to get out. Most people have 70-80 CGD. If your CGO is higher, maybe you can gaze lovingly into his eyes for a few more seconds.. however it's unlikely going to make a difference in regards to stamina regen. Irrelevant to your build, since you are BJJ, but IMO, CGO also plays an important role in determining who can pummel first and more importantly, throw first. I believe I have very good timing when it comes to throwing, however in my fights with various opponents, I was getting thrown first because of my CGO only being 1 while theirs was 70 or 80. This is only pertinent in a Judo/Judo matchup, however I need to do more testing in regards to a Wrestling/Judo match. If the judo has 1 CGO and the wrestler has 70 CGO, and the judo parries the wrestlers punch, I need more concrete evidence that the wrestler could pummel to double unders before the judo could throw ( assuming same clinch timing/skill ). Sorry for the sidetrack.

3. You might want to lower your clinch striking offense. Attaining the clinch is a step further than just standing, and fighters are acquiring greater and greater clinch defense. If you can't get into the clinch at all, the points are wasted. If you get the clinch but they break out quickly, the points are wasted. If I was home, I would go into the tutorial/practice mode and use insta-cafs to test the difference between a whip knee to the body with 1 clinch striking and 100 clinch striking. Just off the top of my head, I suspect the 1 CSO will do around 29-34 and the 100 will do 44-48. It's up to you to decide where that 100 points is better spent.

God I hate MT/BJJ builds. At least they are a little easier to work with at LHW..

You have to come to terms with your striking style. If you are a straight kicker with range, you can go 1 SSO and really beef this build up. If you box, you need 70. It takes time to change your striking style, so be honest with yourself.

Furthermore, your TKO+D stats should be based on the quality of your shine. Again, be honest with yourself. If you have a shine that would take the lacquer off a dinner table, then maybe go lower. If you spin the stick or mash so slowly that you've never had a callus on your palm, maybe they should be higher.

I'm thinking that is going to be the build i'm going for. The ground grapple makes a HUGE difference in big fights like the Tapout fight I just had, and wasn't prepared for. This will never happen again.

Of course you can always change things based on your opponent... like against tapout that might be OK, with possibly an increase in ground striking D. Against a better striker ( no offense ) I think you need more defense.
