Who is currently the best camp in the UOC? Now sporting a 2-0 lead in their first round matchup of the camp tournament, Team Gauntlet is trying to let the rest of the UOC know that they are indeed the top team. With a roster filled with top contenders and champions, they could very well be on to right track to make that claim. This week UOC News profiles Team Gauntlet in their weekly Camp Spotlight.
Camp Name: Team Gauntlet
Camp Leader/Founder: Bucket
Official Roster: HW- xxPotterxx, TigerBack70; LHW- M1ke0707, Badr Ramsay; MW- Skarface66, WVU Pwny Xpress; WW- Lynch96, Alexv23; LW- Bucket, Big Right Wrecker
Top 10 Fighters: TigerBack70 (HW Champ), M1ke0707, Badr Ramsay, Skarface66 (MW Champ), Lynch96 (WW Champ), Alexv23, Bucket, Big Rig Wrecker
Combined Camp Record: 70-19
Current Camp Ranking: 1st
Notable Former Members: Glimpse (Former LHW Champ), JamesArk, Cru
Outlook: Since the beginning of the UOC, Team Gauntlet has always been around the top. Former Light Heavyweight Champ Glimpse was once thought of as the probable Pound-for-Pound king. JamesArk and Cru were each undefeated Lightweights marching towards a title shot. But even when they had such guys as these three leave the UOC, they were able to reload. Now eight of their ten fighters on the roster are in the top ten of their respective weight classes. They have two current champions defending their belts at UOC 15 in Skarface66 and Lynch96. TigerBack70 has announced his plans to return and a Heavyweight Title Unification could be in the works for a future event. M1ke0707 recently lost his belt to undefeated Waytoospicy but looks to rebound and fight for the title again. Guys like Big Rig Wrecker, Alexv23, and Badr Ramsay are still climbing up the rankings of their respective classes. Camp leader Bucket recently suffered a tough loss to Lightweight champ TapouT but is back in the hunt in a Main Event matchup at UOC 15. This is a camp that will always contend for championships. They did it from the start of the first XBox 360 Tournaments and are still continuing it today. The sky is the limit for this squad.
