Top 10 Champions of 2009

To close out this great 2009 year inside the UOC, UOC News will be bringing Top 10 Lists created by the fine committee of veterans from the league. Today, we take a look at the ten top champions of 2009.

1. Dizzle- A unanimous selection for the top champ in the UOC. The PS3 user has held belts in two seperate weight classes and is now moving back to HW for a run at the title.

2. EzekelRAGE- The PS3 LHW belt hasn't been in his grasp but he's been dominant on the 360 side. He's the only LHW champion to successfully defend his belt on the 360.

T3. Timaobjj- The current PS3 MW champ is 16-1 and has basically cleaned out his division. Not many other champs have been able to make that claim. Some point to the lack of depth in the PS3 MW division, but could it just be that the champ is that good?

T3. Lynch96- 360 WW champ and current P4P king. As with Timao, he's cleaned out his division and now superfights are on his plate, such as a prior victory against HW Champ Darrenh84.

5. TapouT- The former LW Champ holds the record for most wins via submission (8) and the most consecutive wins (10) on the 360 side. Before his setback against Big Rig Wrecker, dominance was the only way to describe his run.

6. Grimsan- Was undefeated in the Lightweight division with his only loss coming in a catchweight bout. Had to retire due to a career decision after defending his belt for one last time against Nilhgual.

7. Skarface66- The top 360 P4P fighter before having to take a leave of absence, Skarface ran through the entire MW division. Still tied for the most knockout victories with 10 and was of only two people to beat the #5 ranked TapouT.

8. Glimpse- Thought of as the top P4P fighter in the game before suddenly retiring as the LHW champ, Glimpse is still thought of today as one of the greats of the UOC.

9. DoubleAGallo- The current PS3 WW Champ has been vocal about his lack of sparring throughout his reign as champ. He's also the only noted champ to ever defend his belt with an instacaf.

10. TigerBack- As with Glimpse, TigerBack retired undefeated as champ of the 360 Heavyweight division. Has flirted with the thought of coming back but has now pushed back a return to 2010.

yea but i defended the most times until gsk i think we tied or he has one more defence. N we faced 3 times in uoc u won 2 i won 1. But no real use in argueing over old threads.

I checked MainEvent's profile and he has his fight with DoubleAGallo listed.

UOC WW Tournament vs DoubleAGallo *semi-finals* - Loss via unanimous decision (30-25/3026/30-26)
~ RESULTS: sorry, not available, vid was too long & don't have an editing program at this time. Just know that I got dominated, but was swinging and kicking for the fences until the end & somehow survived to a decision.

to be honest....not trying to start problems or call anyone out but when Main Event lost his belt he was never gonna get it back...
the New-Breed of talent was just to good for him, ppl like Kassidy, JJM,Carld, OTB:D and Gets are the fighters who took the WW Division to a whole new level and to be honest i doubt Main would've been able to keep up with it. just like FY8 was saying how it was smart for Skarface to stay retired bcous it would've tarnished his Rep if he would've returned, same goes for Main Event, he came back in the RTG Tourney and lost to TapoutSoldier and in his following UOC fight lost to JJM i believe, while Double was out there beating ppl with an Insta.....well only one person, but Main was out there loosing......srry to say but its just my opinion...i think Double is Rightfully Ranked higher than Main Event

Thank u for the vote of confidence otb. but Main was a great player i just think madden got in the way of his playing time. I kno once mw2 came out my skillz droped greatly. I think cause i defended my title 2 times however i am right fully ranked cause at the time of these rankings i was the only ww 2 defend twice. N most of the ppl u listed had fought Main and i think they would agree he was good in his time.

on the bright side look at all the talent in the ww division for 2010. Looks like it willn't be the same 3 ppl fighting all the time for title shots............. at my title:D:D:D:D

but i was inches from tht belt at UOC 29 so my ultimate goal is to be the first 2010 Champ :D

haha, before my loss to kass & there after I wasn't playing the game at all outside of the league fights, so your right i was going to continue losing, you can't keep up with good fighters when you dont play the game frequently, and my entire team was already done.

and thanks for the reminder doubleA, i was trying to find where I lost to you and couldn't find it, and I had wrote a document for myself of all my fights & i didn't have a loss listed there. I completely forgot about that whole tourney so thats good to know.

There's a difference from being past your prime and not playing the game anymore. **** I went from 8 hours a day to 8 hours a month playing, sometimes you oversaturate yourself or get distracted by something else and no longer feel like playing, 09 became a chore for me to play after a while. I played as long as I could then couldn't stomach it.

idk why I did want to keep a log of all my fights, and went through everything and I completely missed that tourney so it is good to know so I can add that to my record and see what it actually was. I think in the end it'll make it like 12-6, which isn't really top champion level, 2 losses to aznpnoi are respectable tho, 1 to you is understandable, 1 to kassidy when I wasn't playing anymore (no disrespect tho because he is a great player also), and 2 to a couple guys I shoulda never lost to but did cause I was no longer really playing the game at all except when it came time for a UOC fight. When I decide to be done playing the game actively this time around I'll quit UOC right away so I don't taint my record lol.
