Brizzo bursted on the scene late last season and immediately made his mark in the UOC. Despite his newcomer status, Brizzo represented everything you could ask for in a newcomer. Excellent attitude, extremely active and impressive skills. Still to date this submission specialist is still unbeaten. Picking up the 2010 season exactly were he left off in 09, "Perfect". I was able to sit down and ask the champ a few questions on how he felt about his competition and his plans for the future as a UOC competitor.
Interview
On your way to becoming champ what was the most difficult matchup you had?
Definitely my last fight against Bobby_Boulders. The first two fights i had leading up to the championship were nowhere near as challenging as my one against Bobby. Bobby and I have sparred countless times, have fought on ladders alot and have even fought on ranked before. So he knew i wanted the fight on the ground and I knew he didnt want nothing to do with that. So it was a tough challenge for myself to take myself out of my comfort zone of on the ground and stand with Him.
Is there any fighter in your weightclass you were looking forward to fighting that you haven't got to yet?
Two Words. FY8 NY8. Yep. Said it once and ill say it again. I want Fy8 Ny8. Why? Why the **** not? This is THE FY8 NY8!!! The THQ release party tester! The former MW Champ! I think having his name on the list next to the others ive beaten would be a great accomplishment.
With Super fights and out of class fights being a perk of a champion, what fighter are you most looking forward to facing out of your weightclass, and why?
Im going to Middleweight. Its by far the most challenging division in the UOC. Theres some personal vendettas that i need to score as well as one large 'shadow' im looking to step out from. Once middleweight has been taken care of Id like to go to LHW and cause a situation if you know what i mean.
Do you think anyone poses a serious threat to your title in your weightclass, and if so who?
To be honest everyone in this game poses a threat. One thing THQ did was make this game newb friendly (Want proof? Whos your WW 360 champ? ) Everyone and Anyone could walk into a fight with anyone and beat each other, thats the fun in this game.
Do you have plans on staying in your weightclass long term or plans on moving to another weightclass soon?
Id like to defend my belt as often and as many times as possible. You're not a true champion untill you defend your belt, and sorry WW division I plan on not losing.
