This young UOC member has been making big waves in one of the toughest divisions on the xbox side. Another member of Gauntlet comes out and claims the first blood drawn. And out of the title winner's so far his road to gold has not been a easy one. To claim UOC Gold he had to defeat 3 fighters who all held UOC gold last year at one point or another. Interview
On your way to becoming champ what was the most difficult matchup you had?
Had to be Widow. Hadn't been hitting the gym as much and wasn't in shape. Everyone has given me a hard fight but Widow wouldn't quit. Rocked him pretty early on and he started to really get the best of me. I had to compose myself and regain myself to pull the fight back in my direction and get that KO.
Is there any fighter in your weightclass you were looking forward to fighting that you haven't got to yet?
BA. In one of the first tournies here BA beat me up in an insta-CAF match. I'm looking to redeem myself and with a win secure myself as the #1 MW. With a win there I'll most likely retired because fighting just isn't my thing anymore. I'm not motivated to hit the gym or tan. I'm starting to slow down and that's a formula to lose. I don't want a loss on my record because I haven't been training and don't enjoy the game.
With Superfights and out of class fights being a perk of a champion, what fighter are you most looking forward to facing out of your weightclass, and why?
Superfights aren't too appealing to me. I'd rather sit out an event compared to fighting out of division. I doubt I'll be around long enough to even fight them. One person I'd be interested to fight is Premiere. He's obviously one of the best and we never got to fight at our peaks in 09 so I'd try to do that now. I'd have to get a lot more active and back into action or risk being destroyed though.
Do you think anyone poses a serious threat to your title in your weightclass, and if so who?
Everyone poses a threat right now. I think if I started playing a bit more I'd seperate myself some more but so far everyone has fought me really hard and I've had to go all out. Anyone can win on any given day. Can't ever let up or let your guard down.
Do you have plans on staying in your weightclass long term or plans on moving to another weightclass soon?
I'm perfect at MW. It seems like the deepest most talented division and I like being on top of that.
