1) What is Undisputed Online?
Undisputed Online is a community and league for THQ’s MMA fighting game, UFC Undisputed 2009. The community is comprised of the best fans and best players worldwide. Players gather throughout the forums and website to discuss the game, news releases and the UOC, Undisputed Online’s highly anticipated league.
2) What is the UOC or Undisputed Online Championship?
The Undisputed Online Championship is a simulation of sorts using THQ’s MMA Fighting game UFC Undisputed. Players of the game sign a contract, request to fight on a card, when added to the card will fight the scheduled opponent. When the match is completed they will report the results, results are then tallied and the result is added to their record. There are title holders and players will be given the chance to fight for the titles.
3) How do I sign up?
In order to sign up, you must first register on the forums. Once that is completed, return to the main site and choose “Request Contract”, fill out the required information and submit your request. Usually within 24 hours you will receive an email stating that you have been accepted and you will be able to sign up for events.
4) When do these fights take place and how do I sign up for an event?
The fights will take place on a bi-weekly basis. One week there will be an Xbox 360 card and the following week a Playstation 3 card. To sign up for the card, visit the forums and the correct forum title “Event Signups” and post your name before the registration expiry time. The card will then be compiled and posted a few days later giving you a week to practice and prepare for your fight.
All fights will take place on Sundays with the default match time set at 8 EST. However, because of time zones from around the globe, some matches will be rescheduled to accommodate our friends through all time zones.
5) Do I have to fight every week? How often will title fighters have to fight?
No, you are not required to fight weekly. However if your account becomes inactive over a 1 month period your contract will expire. Players are required to fight in at least 1 event for every 2 events. If you are holding a belt or title you will be required to fight at least every 2nd event to keep the excitement flowing and the opportunity for others a chance at the belt.
6) What systems does Undisputed Online Support?
Players of the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 gaming systems will be used and supported by Undisputed Online. Players can sign up for either console and play fighters on that particular system.
7) Does Undisputed Online allow us to use real fighters or created fighters?
The UOC uses custom created fighters only. The reasoning is that we want everyone to have a fair chance. The more you work on your character, the better fighter you will be in the UOC and abroad.
8 ) Will Undisputed Online hold any tournaments aside from the main league?
Yes, we are currently working on a weekly tournament through the week which will use in-game fighters. Players will have the opportunity to win prizes each week in the tournaments. More details to emerge, stay tuned.
9) May I fight in other leagues as well as the UOC?
We do not recommend it, however we cannot prevent anyone from doing so. We feel that you will be so busy at Undisputed Online that you will not have time to play in other leagues. Technically yes, you can play in another league as long as it doesn’t interfere with your career here in the UOC.
We ask that you do not place any advertisements, links or discussions to any other fight leagues on the site or forums.
10) Will I have my contract removed if I lose fights?
Absolutely not, if you are active and hold a record of 1-10-1 you are welcome here as much as the next guy. We are proud of our community, everyone is welcome, everyone fights regardless of record.
However, we expect players to remain active, if you are inactive for 2 months or do not fight in at least 1 out of every 4 events for your system without contacting the UOC, you will have your contract removed. If your contract is removed, you are able to reapply as long as your leaving was on good terms.
11) What if my opponent lies about the results or fails to report the results after the fight?
We recommend you take a video or picture using a cell phone, digital camera, capture device or any type of media imaging equipment to justify your victory should your opponent decide to mislead the staff of the actual results. There is no other way for us to confirm the results of the match so it is in your best interest to save yourself the grief and take an image of the fight results.
