Signing for an Event
To sign for an event, visit the forums and view the category “Undisputed Online Championship Discussion”. Under that category you will find the forum “Event Signup” and inside a list of current UOC events. Be advised, you must visit the forums daily as updates and the event signups are on a strict time deadline. If you fail to sign up for an event within timespan posted, usually Friday 8PM EST (GMT - 05:00) until Monday 8PM EST (GMT - 05:00), you will be unable to fight in the event. For your own sake, visit the forums daily and please do not argue or create a ruckus (this includes send private messages to staff) if you do not meet the times.

There is a lot of work to be done behind the scenes and throwing the card back a day can cause some problems for everyone. If you want to suggest fighting someone, please post in the stickied “Fight Requests” thread, which can also be found in the “Event Signup” section. Any private message to any staff about title shots or fight requests may result in a suspension.

Note: Event signups require you to include your Fighting Styles. They will only be locked in for that event and you may still feel free to switch between styles for other events. Also; as long as your Create-A-Fighter Overall stays under the cap limit of 100, you may select between multiple fighters of the same fighting styles you signed up to the event for.

Match Time and Date

Default match time is Sundays at 8PM EST. You are expected to meet this time. If you cannot meet this time, you must agree on a time with your opponent 24 hours before the default match time. And post in the match reschedule forum.

If you sign up for the event, you are required to show up and play your fight. If you think you may be busy Sunday evening, do not sign for the event. If you sign up and fail to make an appearance, you will be given a loss.

To Reschedule

A) Visit the “Match Communications” forum.

B) Create a new post titled “Your Name vs Opponents Name”

C) Post Content must include: Your Names, Event, Your proposed match times. (Requesting another day such as Friday, Saturday is permitted but match results must be sent 24 hours after the result regardless).

D) Private message your opponent linking him to the thread you created. Let him know that you are requesting to change the time and give a reason why you cannot meet the default time (be nice). Your opponent must then pick a time out of your list (if possible) and he must post in your thread that he agrees to play at that time.

E) You will report the result 24 hours after your decided match time and all UOC Rules apply. The only change is the time at which your fight takes place.

Pre-Fight

You are responsible for adding the fighter to your Playstation 3 friends list or Xbox 360 friends list. We recommend you do so as soon as the fight card goes live, otherwise at least 24 hours before the match time. We also recommend you make contact with your opponent by any means possible including email, private message etc. You may also use the Match Communications Forum so the conversations can be seen. Each fighter has 15 minutes after the match time (default or rescheduled time) to show up for the fight. We recommend you meet online 15 minutes before hand then invite one another.

The fighter in the Red Corner will invite the fighter in the blue corner with all match settings set. Each fighter will choose their fighter and proceed with the fight.

Post Fight

When the fight is over, both fighters will keep track of the results. You must note the time, round and result. When the fight is over and both fighters have departed their systems, both fighters will report the results.

In the event that the fight ends in a draw, the fighters will continuing fighting until a winner has emerged. The UOC does not count draws on your record.

Reporting Results

Both fighters must report the match results. This will allow us to confirm the correct information has been reported. To report the match results, visit the main website. From there visit the “Report Results” page and fill in the required information and click submit. Once this is done, your event has finished and you may now continue as we will update your records and post the event results when all have been gathered.

Note: We recommend you take a video or picture using a cell phone, digital camera, capture device or any type of media imaging equipment to justify your victory should your opponent decide to mislead the staff of the actual results.

Note: If you fail to report results by the deadline posted, anything thereafter will be marked as void. If neither fighter manages to report fight results, the match will be removed from the event card. The only exception to this is if a staff member has granted an extension to your fight.

No Show

As previously stated, you have 15 minutes after the match time to show for your match. If your opponent does not show after those 15 minutes, please click the “Dispute Match Results” link under “Report Results”. Fill out the information and select “No Show” as your dispute reason.

If for some reason, both fighters have reported the other as a no-show, the staff will then enforce the fight to be fought or scratch it from the event card.  In either case,  neither fighter will recieve the free victory.

Disputing a Fight
You must be 100% sure you want to dispute a match. Disputes can take anywhere from 12 hours to 2 weeks which will cause delays in your ability to play so be sure it is what you want to do. A dispute can be filed for any of the following reasons.

- The match results are reported incorrectly
- A fighter fails to show up for the match

- You are unable to attend the event
- A rule has been broken
- Unsportsmanlike conduct
- Other (please specify)

Inactivity

When a fighter requests a contract, they are expected to fight in a minimum of 1 event per every 2 events. By requesting the contract you are telling the UOC you are active, dedicated and ready to compete. Should a fighter be unable to make these requirements but still wishes to retain his contract, they must use the “contact” form through Undisputed Online and submit the reasoning, time of return, and that they wish to remain under contract.

Sportsmanship and Cheating

Abusive conduct towards players and staff is unacceptable. Some friendly trash talk is part of the game, but there are limits to acceptable behavior. We have tolerance for immaturity and we will not hesitate to bring down the ban hammer if a member fails to maintain respectfulness. This is a teen rated website and all members should be mindful of this when posting.

Disconnecting before fight is over

Because fighters leaving fights prematurely does not result in point deduction online, some players may be inclined to leave before the fight is over if they are losing. If the UOC becomes aware that you left a fight early because you were losing (proof is required), you will be permanently banned from the UOC with no chance of returning. This league will not tolerate sore losers afraid to finish their fight.

First offence: Permanent Ban

Hostile commentary (includes excessive cursing, and other generally poor behavior)

Threats of physical violence or racial commentary toward players

Threats of physical violence or racial commentary toward staff

Any of the above may most like will result in: Permanent ban

Usage of turbo controllers:

Permanent ban

Using game exploits causing an unfair advantage:

Offence: Forfeiture of match and next event suspension

A Few Exploits Explained

There are numerous exploits in the game that will not be tolerated in the UOC, however a few of them need more specific details explained.

Submission Spamming and Submission Transition Cancelling

Offence: Forfeiture of match and next event suspension

We realize there are times when a fighter attempts a transition, or you reverse punches or throws and slams into reversal submission attempts. Some members argue that players should be forced to try and follow through with the submission while the majority think otherwise. If you feel necessary, you are allowed to cancel out of a submission. Also; in the UOC’s attempt to try and keep the competitions relatively real to UFC standards, we believe it acceptable to use a submission attempt to improve your position (Do not use this repeatedly however, as it could then be considered submission spamming). Example: Rear Naked Choke from back side control. However, the use of submission attempts to unfairly maintain an advantage is prohibited. Example: Using the Mounted Triangle attempt to reset transition count.

A quick explanation to those of you that are learning about Submission Transition Cancelling: If you are in full mount defence, depending on ground grapple stats there is a set number to transition attempts. If you attempt to roll out of the mount, say four times in a row, eventually you are going to get regardless of any blocks. The way the submission works is, when a player attempts the Triangle (or even the armbar), it resets this count to zero, thus making it nearly impossible to get out of the mount to a player who has any decent ground skills.

Paralysing Muay Thai Elbows

Offence: Forfeiture of match and next event suspension

The MT Elbows are faster then regulars and the problem would occur when you get caught deep enough against an opponent with full speed and there was nothing you could do about it. Basically its just continuous elbows until a Knockout or TKO victory occurs.  Banning the MT Elbows was out of the question. They are part of the game and elbows happen, but use them realistically. In no UFC match will fighters stand toe to toe with one another throwing fifteen to twenty eblows in-a-row. The originally talk was to call anymore then three or four in a row to be illegal.  I don’t think we’ve had many issues regarding this within the UOC itself, mostly in ranked, but we’re keeping things clear.
