Softball vs. Baseball

Softball is a prototype of baseball. The game is played with two teams set within an inner and outer field with four bases. The bases are situated in the square and each base is about 50-60 feet apart. The batting or hitting team scores when a member touches the bases in secession. The ball used in this game is made of either synthetic or leather.

The playing diamond is smaller than baseball’s by about 30 feet between each base. This makes the game a lot more active, which many softball enthusiasts enjoy so much. Softball games are also two innings shorter than baseball’s.
